NO  COINCIDENCE

It’s not a coincidence,

my hair’s color being black,

my eyes big, and

my skin color yellow.

It’s not a coincidence,

my being born not of royal blood

my living on  Red & White soil, and

my being in this era.

My Lord’s loving hand willed it so;

and I believe, this being best for me.

It’s not a coincidence,

my having a good education,

my sitting in this chair,

my meeting you and you, and

my doing this and that.

My Lord’s  grand design put me here;

and I believe, His plan being best for me.

It’s not a coincidence,

if at times my health may not be too well, and

if I had not been wise at times.

It’s not a coincidence,

if I may experience,

life’s sweet and sour,

downfall and victory,

fear and strength, and

disappointment and solace.

This would not befall me,

without my Lord’s consent,

and I believe, this being very good for me.

My Lord,

In hindsight, looking back and seeing

the colorful beauty of life.

None can I express other than,

my gratefulness  to You, my Lord.

You truly are wonderful.

Yes, my life is all Yours.
